The Power of the Dark Side

You don't understand the power of the dark side.  Darth Torre has moved on.  Enter Darth Girardi.  The evil Empire has a new leader.  It has been a few years since the Yankees have won a World Series.  This does not mean the rebels have overtaken the Empire.  Darth Girardi and the Empire have been hard at work rebuilding the death Star.  I know it's early in spring training, but the Yankees had three pitchers combine for a perfect game on Tuesday.  A good healthy pitching staff will go a long way towards rebuilding the Empire.

Position players remain practically unchanged, so if they can find their bats while in Florida this spring, they should be able to come out guns-a- blazin’ in April.  The rebels will have their hands full trying to defeat the new death Star.  The Empire should be able to demonstrate the power of the fully operational death Star.

All everyone wants to talk about is the rebel leaders in Boston.  The force has been with them only twice in 88 years.  So that's supposed to make them the power in the universe.  During that same period the Empire has overcome the force 26 times.

There’s also a new emperor.  His philosophy seems to be a little different than before.  It seems the Empire will not be searching the galaxy for established apprentices and paying too much.  Instead it appears that it will rebuild its death stars from within.    Storm trooper ranks are pretty much the same with the addition of some young troops.  Admiral Derek Jeter, of course, remains along with apprentices Rodriquez, Damon and Giambi.  Senior troopers Mussina, Pettite, Wang and Rivera are joined by several quality junior troopers such as Trooper Joba.  The Admiral and the Apprentices will direct offensive weapons while these senior troopers will prevent the rebel forces’ attacks on the death star.

This new Darth along with the current roster of leadership and strong storm troopers should provide an effective use of the fully operational death star.  The force will definitely need to be strong with the rebels this year.
